On Tuesday, September 1, the race will once again wind its way across the Berger Feld and into the VELTINS Arena for the much-celebrated finish. A team of Schalke members will be competing again this year. Anyone who wants to join can register now.
Over a distance of about five kilometers, all sports-loving Schalke members are cordially invited to demonstrate their athletic skills and team spirit. Whether you’re a competitive jogger, a recreational runner, or a Nordic walker, everyone can take part and set their own pace.
When it’s time to hit the course, familiar faces are, of course, a must: S04 CEO Matthias Tillmann and S04 legend Olaf Thon will lace up their running shoes alongside the royal blue runners. The route winds across the Berger Feld and ends where the Knappen usually battle for points—with an exciting finish in the “royal blue living room.”
For a special price of 19.04 euros, interested parties can now book a place in the S04 members' starting block. In addition to a race number with a timekeeping chip, this also includes refreshments with drinks and fruit after the finish as well as a medal and a certificate as a souvenir.
The starting signal for the S04 members' team will be given at 18:04. As a reward for their sporting efforts, there will be an after-run party in the arena after the finish, where there will also be a Schalke team stand.
Kids run
#GetActiveTogether: Children and teens between the ages of 8 and 14 will once again participate in the Kids’ Run. The entry fee is 10.04 euros. At 4:30 p.m., the young runners will set off on the 1.8-kilometer course through the Schalke club grounds. Just like the adults, they’ll receive their own race number with built-in, individual timing, as well as tasty refreshments and a medal as a reward.
