Season ticket, day ticket and admission: S04 offers digital innovations

An important step for the continuous modernization of the VELTINS-Arena and a benefit for fans, members and all other stadium visitors: As part of its digitalization strategy, FC Schalke 04 has worked intensively with its long-standing partner vivenu in recent months on the further development of the ticket and access system. The successful premiere took place just in time for the start of the season against Hertha BSC last Friday (1.8.).

Visitors now have it much easier, as the smartphone becomes an admission ticket. Thanks to the digital season ticket, Schalke fans benefit from extremely user-friendly administration: season tickets - as well as day tickets - can be saved directly in the wallet or downloaded as Print@Home for printing. In the personal account in the S04 ticket store, it is possible to transfer tickets for individual matches or even the entire season in just a few steps.

Thanks to new devices with contactless NFC access, fans can enjoy the special atmosphere of the VELTINS-Arena even faster by simply holding their digital tickets and chip season tickets up to the scanner - just like when paying at the supermarket. Alternatively, visitors can scan the QR codes on the paper tickets and Print@Home tickets on their cell phones at the bottom of the machines. If you miss a game or want to support the miners at short notice, it's best to visit the ticket exchange. The popular platform has been expanded for the new season and will be available until shortly before kick-off - so no seat has to remain empty. S04 is thus implementing a wish that was expressed at the members' congress, among other things.

"The impressive support at Schalke's home matches is a key pillar of our club culture. Our aim is to provide around 40,000 season ticket holders as well as all members and fans with a comfortable stadium experience - from ticket organization to admission. Together with vivenu, we have been able to set the next milestone in digitalization and improved service quality at Schalke, which we are very pleased about," explains Matthias Tillmann, CEO of the Royal Blues.

Dominik Durben, Director of Sales & Marketing at Schalke 04, emphasizes: "With vivenu, we have already had a reliable partner at our side for three years, with whom we recently extended our cooperation for at least another six years. This is a clear sign of the mutual trust we have had from the very beginning. As a technological pioneer in the industry, vivenu impressed us right from the start, and this has already paid off for us in many areas. The further development of the ticket and access system represents a new, decisive and tangible step. Everyone who has Schalke in their hearts will benefit from this."

Maik Erkelenz, Director Marketing at vivenu, adds: "It makes us proud that Schalke is relying on an incredible range of our product to take the fan experience to a new level in the long term. This underlines the strength of our platform and is a special recognition for our development team. This collaboration is an impressive demonstration of what is possible with modern technology."
