The bett1.de Biathlon World Team Challenge at Schalke is going into the next round. The date for the popular winter sports spectacle in 2024 has now been set: on Saturday, December 28, the best national and international biathletes will once again take to the slopes in Gelsenkirchen.

Since 2002, the biggest biathlon spectacle in the world with its World Cup-level cross-country ski trail has been one of the most popular winter sports events of all. The format has had a loyal fan base right from the start and has become a fixed date in the season for many biathletes over the years. Tens of thousands of spectators cheer them on every time they compete in the VELTINS Arena, while millions watch the live broadcast on their screens.
France wins 20th anniversary
Last year, the biathlon WTC in Schalke celebrated an emotional 20th anniversary. As in the previous year, the team from France triumphed in the end. Julia Simon and Fabien Claude impressed with a strong performance and secured first place after the mass start and the pursuit race. The duo thus defended their title at the biathlon in Schalke for the first time and have already announced their participation for this year - with the aim of completing the hat-trick. Spectators can therefore look forward to another thrilling race on the cross-country track, which will once again feature two teams from Germany on December 28.
