Travel information for the Rammstein concerts

Rammstein will be playing five concerts in the VELTINS-Arena at the end of their Europe Stadium Tour. The tour starts on Friday (26.7.), followed by further shows on Saturday (27.7.), Monday (29.7.), Tuesday (30.7.) and Wednesday (31.7.). Fans will now receive important information and tips to ensure a smooth arrival and departure on all concert days.

Arrival

Bus and train
All visitors are recommended to travel by public transport; BOGESTRA operates a sufficient number of special streetcars. Streetcar travel is free with the concert ticket within the Rhein-Ruhr public transport network.
From Gelsenkirchen main station, take tram line 302 in the direction of Gelsenkirchen-Buer Rathaus to the VELTINS-Arena stop. People with limited mobility should use the Willy-Brandt-Allee stop. Line 302 commutes between Gelsenkirchen main station and ZOB Buer Rathaus at reduced intervals for both arrivals and departures.

Passenger car

A43: Complete closure between the Recklinghausen and Bochum junctions
As part of an emergency measure, Autobahn GmbH will also be closing the A43 between the Recklinghausen and Bochum interchanges in both directions from Friday (July 26) at 9 p.m. until Monday (July 29) at 5 a.m.. Visitors coming from Wuppertal are advised to take the A44 and A45 from the Bochum/Witten junction and then continue on the A42 or A2 towards Gelsenkirchen. The A42 can still be used in both directions in the area of the Herne junction.

Visitors arriving via the A2 from Dortmund/Hanover are recommended to use the Herten junction (7) for their arrival and departure.

The P+R parking lot at the Zoom-Erlebniswelt can still be reached via the junctions of the A42 GE-Schalke (17) and GE-Bismarck (18) as well as from the A2 at AS Herten (7).

A1 near Leverkusen closed
A steel girder is being installed at the Leverkusen-West junction to connect the A59 to the A1. For this reason, the A1 will be closed in both directions between the Leverkusen-West and Leverkusen interchanges from Friday evening (10 p.m.) until Monday morning (5 a.m.).

Drivers on the A1 heading towards Dortmund will be diverted via the A59 and A46 from the Leverkusen-West junction. Drivers heading towards Koblenz will be diverted via the A3 and A4.

Parking
There are only limited parking spaces available in the immediate vicinity of the VELTINS-Arena. Therefore, if arriving by car, you are advised to get off at one of the numerous stops on the 302 line and park your car in the vicinity of the respective stop. We also ask you to use car pools and car-sharing opportunities wherever possible. These can be found via the S04 carpooling exchange.

The P&R will be available to all those arriving at the Zoom. Shuttle buses will run from there to the corner of Adenauerallee/Willy-Brandt-Allee both on arrival and departure. The cost is 5 euros.

Important: On Saturday (27.7.) the parking lots D and E are only available from 3 pm due to the flea market.

Motorhomes
Note for motorhomes: These can be parked in the directly adjacent parking lot C3 of the VELTINS-Arena for a fee of 30 euros. In addition, if you are arriving with a camper van, please use other parking spaces. For example, there is a parking space for motorhomes at the Ewald colliery, from where a shuttle is also offered.
