Biathlon at Schalke: Get even closer to the athletes with standing room tickets.

When tens of thousands of people in the VELTINS Arena suddenly fall silent as an athlete takes aim, that’s Biathlon at Schalke. On Wednesday, December 30, the “royal blue living room” will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the 23rd time during the bett1.de Biathlon World Team Challenge. What makes this event special: This time, fans in standing-room-only sections will experience the world’s top international athletes closer than ever before and from a whole new perspective.

For the first time, you can experience the tension, the silence before the shot, and the moment between a hit and the cheers—or a penalty lap—from the standing section in Blocks V and W for 14 euros. Children 12 and under pay 5 euros per ticket. Tickets are now available at tickets.schalke04.de and tickets.biathlon-aufschalke.de.

Defending champions return

The best prone shooter of this World Cup season will also be there again: Justus Strelow returns to Gelsenkirchen with Janina Hettich-Walz as the defending champion. Last year, the two DSV athletes not only won the mass start but also prevailed in the pursuit. Once again, their goal is to finish on the podium at the very least.

Get your tickets now and experience the unique atmosphere at the VELTINS Arena and the adjacent Winter Village. The entertainment program, DJs, and culinary highlights are all included. This is what makes the 2026 bett1.de Biathlon World Team Challenge at Schalke an unforgettable experience.
