A1 to Münster-Süd junction → continue on A43 towards Recklinghausen → at Recklinghausen junction take A2 towards Oberhausen → take exit 6 (Gelsenkirchen-Buer) or 7 (Herten) → continue towards Gelsenkirchen and follow the signs to the VELTINS Arena follow 

A2 to the Castrop-Rauxel-Ost junction → take the A42 towards Duisburg → exit 17 (Gelsenkirchen-Schalke) → continue towards Gelsenkirchen-Zentrum/Arena 

A40 with exit 28 Gelsenkirchen-Süd → direction city center → follow signs to VELTINS-Arena

A42 → Exit 15 Gelsenkirchen-Heßler → via Lehrhovebruch and Grothusstraße → then follow the signs to the VELTINS-Arena 

For coaches (no nine-seater coaches) with FC Schalke 04 fans, parking lot P6 is available for home matches. The entry "Ernst-Kuzorra-Weg" in the navigation system will take you directly to the corresponding parking lot. Parking fees may apply.It's worth taking a look at the news section before you arrive.

To game– and event-free days Visitors can at the VELTINS-Arena Any parking. There are no special regulations as with the Home games or Events. An all days The general parking rules apply on the grounds of the VELTINS-Arena. 

The journey from Gelsenkirchen main station to the VELTINS-Arena is by streetcar. The subway station Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof is located in the first basement of the station. 

With the Line 302 (direction GE-Buer) kStadium visitors can travel directly to the VELTINS-Arena stop. 

The journey takes about 15 minutes. For many major events, there are plenty of special coaches in use. The use of all VRR public transport is included in the ticket price for soccer matches and events. 

The VELTINS-Arena stop is not barrier-free. 

Visitors with limited mobility should get off at the Willy-Brandt-Alle stop. The walk from there to the stadium takes about 15 minutes.

A VRR ticket is not always included in the price for concerts, events or other functions. For Schalke home games, the journey is included in the ticket price. 

Arrival by bus line 380 & 381 (from Gelsenkirchen main station)

With the bus lines 380 (direction Buer) and 381 (direction Erle) kVisitors can travel to the Sportparadies stop. The journey takes about 25 minutes. From there, a signposted walk of around 15 minutes leads directly to the VELTINS-Arena. Up-to-date information on timetables, possible changes to stops or special services can be found at vrr.de.

For selected matches, parking spaces for motorhomes and camper vans are available. a. at the Ewald colliery. It is recommended to inform yourself in advance about available parking options. 

Important to know:
Overnight stays in motorhomes are only permitted on the designated parking spaces, such as at the Ewald colliery, provided these are approved for the event.
On the regular parking lots around the VELTINS-Arena is one overnight stay not permitted. 

For certain special events there are Stell places for motorhomes, for example at the Ewald colliery.

Whether parking spaces are available for motorhomes will be announced in good time via the VELTINS-Arena in the news section, via the VELTINS-Arena social media channels or in the event newsletter. 

There are no official motorhome parking spaces directly at the VELTINS-Arena. 

The parking areas are generally intended for cars. 

For a visit outside of events, we recommend using regular motorhome parking spaces in Gelsenkirchen or the surrounding area. 

Parking spaces for motorcycles are available in the parking lot at the Berger Feld comprehensive school. From there it is only a ten-minute walk to the stadium. The parking lots can be used for home games and other events. 

To game– The general parking rules apply on the grounds of the VELTINS-Arena on days when there are no events. 

For visitors arriving by bicycle on home match days, event days or non-match and event days, there are over 600 bicycle parking spaces available around the VELTINS-Arena. These are located in front of Tunnel 1, in front of WEST 2, next to the EAST ticket office and at the FC Schalke 04 office (Ernst-Kuzorra-Weg 1, 45891 Gelsenkirchen). 

There are two official cab ranks at the VELTINS-Arena. The first is located in front of the main entrance (LaOla).

The second cab rank is located on Parkallee, very close to the public parking lot A, on the corner of Adenauerallee (Parkallee, 45891 Gelsenkirchen). From there, the VELTINS-Arena can be reached on foot in about five minutes. 

It is recommended that you allow sufficient time, as there can be heavy traffic around the VELTINS-Arena during home matches. 

For arrival and departure by cab at the VELTINS-Arena two Cab ranks are available. The first one is located in front of the main entrance (LaOla).

Guest parking spaces for cars and coaches can be reached via Berni-Klodt-Weg. Coaches turn left into the Gelsenwasser parking lot, cars turn right into parking lots E1, E2 and E3.

Free parking is available if you arrive at least two hours before the start of the match.

Shuttle buses are available from Gelsenkirchen main station.busse directly to the Gelsenwasser guest parking lot by cart. Alternatively, you can take streetcar line 302 to the barrier-free and stair-free Bus stop "Willy-Brandt-Allee" can be used for parking.

The wheelchair spaces are located on the east stand in blocks L to U.

The Kumpelkarre is a free shuttle service from the Gesamtschule parking lot to the VELTINS-Arena. It is available to fans with limited mobility and runs from two hours before kick-off to the Charly-Neumann-Brücke entrance and back around 30 minutes after the final whistle. In addition, limited parking spaces in parking lot B can be reserved until midday on the working day before the match by sending an email to fanbelange@schalke04.de. The shuttle can also be used without a parking space reservation.

• Zone C1 - Access via Adenauerallee 

• Zone C2 - Access via Willy-Brandt-Allee

• Emil-Zimmermann-Allee 28, 45891 Gelsenkirchen 

Please follow the signposted traffic routing and follow the instructions of the security service on site. On match days and during major events, there may be restrictions or changes to the regulations.

The Bring– and The pick-up zone is usually located on the Gelsenwasser–Parking lot. 
Access is via the Berni–Klodt–Way. 
Other access options will be communicated to you online shortly before the event.
