The mega event "PUR and Friends at Schalke 2025" on September 6 in the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen is completely sold out with 68,000 spectators. The show on August 23 in Bruchsal Castle Gardens is also already sold out. Remaining tickets for the public dress rehearsal in Gelsenkirchen and the open air in Heidenheim on August 30 are still available. PUR are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their successful album "Abenteuerland" with these concerts this year.
In 1995, the band PUR released their album "Abenteuerland" and wrote German pop history. In 2025, the formation around frontman Hartmut Engler is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the number 1 longplayer, which has now sold more than two million copies, with three major open-air shows. The highlight will be the concert "PUR and Friends at Schalke - 30 Years of Adventureland" on September 6 at the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen. The rush of fans was so great that this date is already completely sold out with 68,000 spectators. Due to the high demand, only tickets for the public dress rehearsal on September 5 are still available. At Schalke, the band will perform on an elaborately designed stage in the middle of the arena, thus emphasizing the special connection to their audience.
PUR will be playing in the baroque castle gardens of Bruchsal in Baden on August 23rd under the title "PUR live in Adventureland". Tickets are no longer available for this date either. However, tickets are still available for the concert a week later on August 30 at Brenzpark in Heidenheim an der Brenz, Swabia.
"Abenteuerland" was released in August 1995 and, with more than two million copies sold, is one of the best-selling albums in German music history. Produced in Nashville, London and Bietigheim-Bissingen, the longplayer includes classics such as "Ich lieb' dich (Egal wie das klingt)", "Ein graues Haar", "Dass es dir leid tut" and, of course, the title track. The album reached number 1 in the charts and went platinum four times.
