FC Schalke 04 opens #stehtauf contact point

FC Schalke 04 opened the doors of its new #stehtauf contact point for the first time for the first home match of the 2019/2020 season against Bayern. Visitors to the VELTINS-Arena can report discriminatory incidents there and receive advice and support. The contact point is also open at concerts - for the first time at the Herbert Grönemeyer concert on Saturday (7.9.).

The advice center serves as a point of contact for people who have been victims of discriminatory, racist and sexist behavior or violence at Schalke, and violations of the S04 mission statement and the stadium regulations of the VELTINS-Arena can also be reported. Visitors are then - if they wish - referred to the appropriate specialist and advice centers. In addition, incidents and observations will be collected and evaluated at the #stehtauf contact point.

The #stehtauf contact point offers a safe place for all victims of discrimination and violence. It is an innovative approach to combating racism and exclusion in the stadium.

"From the 2019/2020 season, we want to increase and intensify our commitment to a tolerant and diverse Schalke under the motto #stehtauf. With the new advice center, we are therefore creating an important place to make a visit to the stadium even safer, more peaceful and more comfortable for all guests. From now on, every visitor to Schalke will have a contact point where they can get immediate help if they don't feel safe," said Schalke's Board Member for Finance and Organization Peter Peters.

The new advice center, which was set up in cooperation with the Schalke Fan Project and the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Fanprojekte NRW e. V., is not only accessible on match days, but also at events such as concerts for those affected and can also be reached by telephone on 0172 | 1766501 and by e-mail at anlaufstelle@schalke04.de. It is located at the back of the Schalke Museum.

During concerts, the contact point may be open at a different location. This is always announced in advance via the VELTINS-Arena channels. For the Herbert Grönemeyer concert, it can be found at its usual location, i.e. in the Schalke Museum - access is via stairwell 12.
